Today was just another one of those days that flew by..Dan was working on some little projects around the house and I spent the morning doing a little bit of cleaning and the rest of the afternoon making some hairbows..I think I made 10 bows and 5 bands...then we were off to church at 4:30pm..Church was great, the pastor delivered a powerful message that really makes you stop and think about where you are with your faith..are we really living it or just going through the motions? Dan served in the kids program tonight and it was a little crazy but he enjoys doing it..luckily I had some friends to sit with and I even sold some bows...:-)
Last night Roxanne and I went to that Christmas event at our church..it was so nice..they had the Burlock family which consists of one mom and TEN kids...After 15 years of marriage and ten kids her husband walked out on their family...so for the last 16 years she has been a single mom...She didnt go into too many details but the story she did share was so powerful and showed just how good that God really is even in hard times...they are were great singers and it was so cool that they do it has a family...After they sang for a bit we had a dessert reception where they had tables of yummy goodies...The pastor and some of the men from the church we valleting cars and filling up water dispensors and putting treats out...it was great to see a pastor actually "doing" for his church and not just sitting on the side lines...It was a great event and I hope they do again next year...I may even take the girls..I know Nina would like it and hopefully by then Sophia will be old enough to sit through it well....
